Its chalky soils and diverse climates are perfect for growing the varietals of Southern France. 2023 Villa Creek Farmhouse Red is no different and really over delivers for the money.Made up of 50% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 20% Zinfandel, 10% Petite Sirah, sustainably farmed and certifiedorganic.
The nose gives notes of dark cherry, black currants, and a slight pepperiness all with a tantalizing herbalundertone. The palate shows a little brighter with fresh berry jam, fig, and citrus zest with nuances ofsavory spices. I love the balance of this wine, medium body with composed acidity and tannins. A greatexpression of what Paso Robles has to offer, don’t sleep on this one!
