For our premier Uppercut California Cabernet Sauvignon, we focused on two extraordinary vineyards on the Central Coast of California in the Monterey County American Viticultural Area (AVA) and Paso Robles AVA. John selected the majority of the blend from our estate vineyard, Paris Valley Ranch, which sits at the base of the hills of the San Lucas AVA of southern Monterey County. To complement these grapes, John chose another Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard from the Red Hills region of the Paso Robles AVA, with its unique shallow, shale soils. Cabernet Sauvignon vines need a temperature swing from very warm days to very cool nights to develop its best fruit. These two sites have it all, including extremely long growing seasons, which are ideal for developing fully mature, velvety flavors.

Seductivelyripenotes of brambly wild berry and juicy plum, with hints of violet and licorice. Supple tannins support the vibrantflavorsandaddtexturetotherichlyflavoredpalate. Nicely integrated nuances of dark caramel from oak aging.
