A very special release from Macallan, which looks to have combined elements from The Macallan M and The Macallan Rare Cask Black, resulting in The Macallan M Black (it’s a bit like in The Fly when two things go through the telepods at one – they become connected). Richly sherried, with an elegant core of smoke developing at the core. 725 decanters made by Lalique were produced.

The Macallan Decanter Series M Black Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes

Nose: Cherry and chocolate with salted caramel and wisps of peat smoke.

Palate: The smoke builds in intensity without overpowering a blend of green apples and dried fruits.

Finish: Long and smoky.

The Macallan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Craigellachie, Moray. The Macallan Distillers Ltd, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Edrington Group which purchased the brand from Highland Distillers in 1999.
