We’ve been fortunate to snag a number of Buffalo Trace and Eagle Rare private barrels over the years, in addition to EH Taylor, Stagg Jr, and Blanton’s from time to time.
Buffalo Trace’s rye whiskey—the heraldedSazerac—has not been quite as ubiquitous, which is why we were very excited to have picked out our own private barrel from the distillery this past Spring. Rich, spicy, yet mellow and creamy on the palate, it’s one of the coolest new single casks of whiskey we’ve found from anywhere over the last year.
Given the limited nature, however, and the steady fanaticism that continues to surround Buffalo Trace distillery, we’re not expecting these to last too long. Grab what you need while the gettin’s good!
