The folks behind the excellent Drumshanbo Gunpowder Gin have gone and made their own vodka – but it’s certainly not a run-of-the-mill expression. This Irish vodka is made with the fruit of the Kigelia Africana, also known as the sausage tree – because the fruit looks like sausages (Google it). The fruit is combined with Irish grain and nettle to create a fascinating, lightly fruity and herbaceous vodka.
