Description
Pierre Damoy took over his family estate from his uncle, Jacque Damoy, in 1992. This impressive holding, which was established by his great-great grandfather Julien Damoy, is one of the jewels of the Côte d’Or. The holdings included three of the most esteemed grand crus in Burgundy. Pierre owns 35 percent of the magnificent Chambertin-Clos de Bèze and 40 percent of Chapelle-Chambertin and boasts one hectare of Chambertin. When he took over, the estate had fallen into mediocrity despite the prestigious vineyard sourcing. With a state-of-the-art winery and improved, earth-friendly vineyard practices, he revitalized the wines and transformed Domaine Pierre Damoy into one of Gevrey’s most promising sources.

Palate: Red fruit cherry, raspberry, strawberry with hints of
toasted oak. Medium-bodied, sleek, vibrant acidity and an
enticing rustic wildness.
