PaQui Tequila claims its name originates from the Aztec phrase “to be happy,” which is certainly the worthy goal of any self-respecting tequila. The tequila is made in traditional, small-batch distillation where they claim the distiller seeks out specific aromas and flavors for the spirit. According to the Wine Enthusiast (Kara Newman, May, 2013), the yeast used for fermentation is one traditionally used for wine, which also may offer some distinguishing character.

Paqui Reposado Tequila Tasting Notes

Nose: This allows the full range of agave aroma and taste characteristics to be delicately balanced with the oak.

Palate: Balance of fruit, florals and spicy flavors. Very clean and crisp with a delicate finesse. A distinctively complex reposado subtly aged and with just enough round tannins to give a solid structure to the triad of floral notes, fruit and oak.

Finish: The finish is long and amazingly soft.
