Distillery: The Macallan
A wonderful Macallan single malt, distilled all the way back in May 1989, when Bon Jovi was ruling the music charts. What a time. The Speysider was whacked into a single refill hogshead, where it slumbered for 30 long years. Eventually, it was bottled in October 2019 for Douglas Laing’s Xtra Old Particular The Black Series. Just 230 bottles were released at 46% ABV, and each one has even been signed by Fred and Cara Laing themselves.

Nose: Aroma is very pleasant.
Palate: A splendid taste with a warm feel to it. Not to smoky but silky smooth.
Finish: Rich and smooth.
