Description
Crafted to celebrate The 153rd Open Championship at Royal Portrush, this exceptional 22 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a distinguished tribute to the players, people, and legendary courses that define The Open. Part of The Open Course Collection 2025, this release is limited to just 3,500 bottles worldwide, making it a rare and highly collectible expression.
Distilled in 2002 using Loch Lomond’s unique Straight Neck pot stills, this single malt exemplifies the distillery’s unrivalled ability to shape flavor at the point of distillation. The whisky was matured for over 21 years in American oak casks before being finished for six months in specially toasted virgin Spanish oak, crafted by Loch Lomond’s own traditional cooperage.
This final Spanish oak finish enhances the distillery’s signature style—fruit, honey, and soft smoke—adding layers of toffee, cinnamon, and warming oak spice. Bottled at 46.7% ABV, non-chill filtered and with natural colour, this elegant single malt captures both the tradition of The Open and the innovation at the heart of Loch Lomond.
