Description
American Freedom Distillery, and Horse Soldier Bourbon, were created by six retired Special Forces Veterans from Tampa Bay, where they have a 16,000 square foot establishment. The bourbon itself is distilled and aged in Ohio, though, as Florida is a tad bit too warm to age bourbon properly.
Like it’s softer sibling, Horse Soldier Signature Barrel Strength is an extraordinarily complex whisky, with notes of vanilla, ginger, and cherries. It is aÿ ?wheated? bourbon, made from small batches of meticulously blended mature whiskey. The whiskey is non-chill filtered to provide a full-bodied and decadent finish.
The whiskey is bottled at a cask strength 62% abv.
Horse Soldier Signature Barrel Strength Tasting Notes:
Color : Poppy Topaz.
Aroma: A deep inhale provides the nose sweet aromas with honey, apples, citrus, toffee and leather.
Palate: Caramel, honey, butterscotch, woodiness, cashew and spiced raisin with a hint of toffee.
