An approachable blend, boasting smoky depth as well as light fruit and fragrant barley. From the makers of The Character of Islay Whisky Company, this expression takes its name from early s of Islay, as well as from the title of novelist Neil Gunn’s book The Green Isle of the Great Deep, which talks of an island off the west coast of Scotland only accessible via a whirlpool. Nose: Aroma is very pleasant.
Palate: A splendid taste with a warm feel to it. Not to smoky but silky smooth.
Finish: Rich and smooth.
