Another addition to the Gelston’s range of wonderful Irish whiskey, this 5 Year Old single malt was aged in first-fill bourbon casks and then treated to a finish in sherry casks for around 160 days (or just over five months, if that’s how you like to group your measurements of time). Bottled up at 41.2% ABV, creamier notes from the whiskey are bolstered by a good hit of spice from the cask finish. A fab cocktail contender, this.
