Description
Fritz Walter Pinot Gris is cultivated on the historically prized “Fritz Walter” vineyard, part of the church’s former holdings known for fertile, top-quality soils. The vineyard is situated near the “Götzengrund” plot, facing south on a gentle slope with loess soil enriched with a touch of clay, ideal for producing robust, Burgundian-style wines. This full-bodied Pinot Gris features lively acidity, a long finish, and an intricate aromatic profile combining refreshing grapefruit, yellow mango fruitiness, and the nutty Burgundian character of avocado.
Vinification
Carefully modern vinification with temperature-controlled fermentation preserves the varietal purity and complexity of the terroir. Grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness to achieve a balanced, full-bodied wine.
