Description
Created by Seagrams’ master distiller Charles L. Beam in 1975, Eagle Rare is one of the last old Bourbon brands before all the small-batch Bourbons came flooding in.
The 17 year old expression is bottled at 101 proof (50,5% ABV) just like the original 1975 Bourbon grandaddy, and released to the public in small quantities once a year, every Fall. After aging in #4 char oak barrels for nearly two decades, it emerges well-balanced, polished, and smooth, with an almost wine-like character featuring notes of almond, cigar boxes, cinnamon, ripe cherries, vanilla, and oak.
