Coleburn 1980 DL is a 25 year old Single Malt whisky from Scotland. Bottled in 09.2005 at 50% this bottle will make a fine addition to any Scotland Single Malt whisky lover. Please note that this Douglas Laing (DL) is Refill Butt. It is also worth mentioning that this is uncolored, non-chillfiltered, single cask whisky edition of Coleburn. This is one of only 661 bottles ever produced. A fact, that makes this edition even more desirable.

Coleburn 1980 DL 25 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes

Nose: Heathery, creamy, spicy and malty.

Palate: Piquant and malty, with honeyed tones.

Finish: Long, lingeringly sweet and smooth.

Distillery Information

The blender Robertson & Sons of Dundee founded Coleburn Distillery in 1897. They re-started the production of Coleburn. When in 1930 DCL (later Diageo) bought the Clynelish Distillery Company they became the new owners of Coleburn and further on the distillery was led by DCL’s subsidiary Scottish Malt Distillers (SMD).
