It’s a 12 year old single malt from the distillery on the east coast of Islay, and it’s got quite a bit of sherried character to it, we’ll have you know. Also, the label has a few nods one of our favourite feline residents of the island… Batch 20 is a release of 468 bottles.‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Caol Ila 12 Year Old (That Boutique-y Whisky Company) Scotch Whisky | 500ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Jammy red berries and rich coffee, with a generous helping of phenolic smoke.
Palate: Almonds, dates, and yet more sweet peat smokiness. Redcurrant and blueberry muffin later on.
Finish: Slightly sooty, with brown sugar and cinnamon sitting underneath.
