Cantina di Sorbara is a winemaking cooperative in the heart of Emilia-Romagna that focuses on producing world class Lambrusco from its native regional varietals. This cuvée is dedicated to Dr. Alfredo Molinari, the creator of Cantina Social di Carpi, one of the oldest co-ops in Italy. In the early 1900s the phylloxera crisis threatened winemakers’ livelyhood in Emilia Romagna and so Alfredo proposed the establishment of a Civil Society, which ensured reliability and solidarity amongst producers of the region. This Lambrusco is
dry, fruity, and fresh with flavors of
black raspberry, juicy cherry, and
pomegranate with a touch of
earth and
spice.
